WHAT IS YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY STYLE?
If you’ve been shopping around, you’ve probably heard many different names being thrown out there, such as traditional, documentary, photojournalism, editorial, etc. Hopefully you understand the differences between these styles and how they will apply to the flow of your day. But keep in mind that most photographers don’t always fit into one category. Every photographer has their own eye and their personal style may be a blend of popular styles. For me, I love to tell the story of the day through my photography, so the majority of my images would be considered more of a documentary or photojournalism style, but I also love to shoot editorial style portraits for the couples who want to fit portrait time into their schedule before the ceremony, and of course a splash of the traditional “must have” formals.
WILL YOU SHOOT FORMALS FOR US?
My typical wedding client is more interested in shooting their “real” wedding story rather than spending an hour or two on traditional formals. But I do feel that formals are a very important part of the wedding photography, as long as they aren’t holding up the reception of course! I shoot the “must have” formals which consist of the wedding party and the immediate family of the bride and groom. The whole thing is done in about 20 minutes or less.
If you’ve come up with a long list of formals, then my style of wedding coverage may not be for you and I’ll be happy to recommend some great photographers who will be a better fit for your needs.
IS THERE A WAY TO SHOOT STYLISH MODERN PORTRAITS OF US ON THE WEDDING DAY, SOMETHING DIFFERENT FROM THE TRADITIONAL FORMALS?
Some couples choose to see each other before the ceremony which allows us the time to spend on an amazing portrait session that you normally wouldn’t have time for between the ceremony and reception. If portraits are important to you then i highly encourage seeing each other in advance of the ceremony. Other advantages of seeing each other before the ceremony include getting all the formals done early so you can go strait to the reception after the ceremony, taking advantage of daylight for better images, and relaxed nerves!
DO YOU TRAVEL?
Right now I am only accepting weddings in the acadiana area. I do accept a limited number of portrait sessions for brides who’s weddings i can’t be available for, so if you still want your bridal and engagement portraits with me, contact me to reserve a portrait date for you.
WHAT DO I GET WITH MY WEDDING COVERAGE?
All wedding coverage comes with the high resolution files that have been edited already for you, a proof book that features all your images and their file names to keep you organized, and a web gallery so you can share your images with anyone you choose instantly, and they will have the option to purchase any of their favorite images from their own computer!
CAN YOU PENCIL ME IT WHILE I DECIDE?
I do not hold dates or pencil in dates without a contract or retainer. The date is always available to anyone at anytime until it is booked. However, if you schedule a meeting to discuss your date, i will put your date in pending status for up to one week while we wait for the meeting.
IS A DEPOSIT REQUIRED TO BOOK MY DATE? WHEN ARE INSTALLMENTS DUE?
1/3 of the total cost is required as a retainer to hold the date. A retainer is a non refundable deposit, so if you cancel it will not be returned. The retainer is paying me to turn down other brides who may have wanted to book the same date. Your second 1/3 is due 2 months before the wedding and your final 1/3 is due one month before the wedding.
I’M READY TO BOOK. HOW DO I GET STARTED?
Use the contact link to find out if I’m available and if so, we will set up a meeting to talk more about your big day. You will then have the option to book your date.
