Angie and June were married at the picture perfect Rip Van Winkle Gardens on March 16th. Firstly, what an incredible group of people at this wedding! Angie and June were showered in the warmth and love of their many guests. They chose to marry in front of the Jefferson House, which always creates the perfect backdrop for any southern wedding. For their reception, they invited the amazingly talented krossfyre to put on a concert outdoors under the stars. She had dozens of lights on strings over the dance floor and surrounded it with candle lit tables. It was a dreamy scene that was topped during the first dance when the sky was brilliantly lit up from from the colorful fireworks display.

Here is the wedding story in her own words:
“June and I met February 2, 2008. A day I will never forget! We were introduced to each other by my cousin/matron of honor, Liz. Since then we have been inseparable! We were engaged on my birthday, September 2010, and it took us a little over a year and half to decide and plan on the type of wedding we wanted to have. But after all the pondering and planning we decided the most important thing to us was to celebrate our love and family…and our wedding day ended up be just that–A party! The overall vison for the wedding was a classic theme. We wanted to add to the beauty of RVW w/out taking away from the natural beauty of the gardens. Lots of cream and ivory colors. We wanted people to feel as though they stepped back in time or into a romantic Turner Classic movie! June and I couldn’t have chosen a better place to get married. RVW is the BEST and their staff is so helpful and friendly.”

”Melissa Bijeaux of Flowers Etc did a remarkable job decorating…classic yet modern. The clear chairs for the bridal table, the flowers hanging above the cake, and the outdoor dance setting made for a beautiful night!”

“Our favorite moment was dancing to “I only have eyes for you,” while the fireworks were going off!”

“Pick your vendors wisely–I can’t stress that enough. Weddings do not have to cost a fortune! No matter your budget, find talented people who can help transform your vision into reality!!! Above all, have fun!”
Dawn, the images are beautiful…Takes me back to that day! Thank you so much for being a part of it! You’re the BEST!
